Aalen City Run 2022

35th Aalen City Run as the starting signal for the 1st BEXlauf

The 35th Aalen City Run took place on July 17, 2022. The city run is one of the big events in Aalen, which has become a tradition for years, just before the summer vacation starts. There is the right course for every age group and every type of runner, from 300 m to 10 km. For the first time in its history, BEX took part in this city run in the team run category (4.58 km) with 14 registrations.

Highly motivated, the team began training in March 2022. There were repeated training sessions in which they jogged together through forests and meadows. But everyone also trained individually.

On Sunday, July 17, 2022, the team met up to take part in the long-awaited team run and compete with around 100 other team run participants. Jerseys were ordered for this event in order to have a uniform appearance and show the team spirit. All of Aalen should see it: Software from Aalen for the world!

The starting signal was given at 11:40 a.m. and the BEX runners set off on the city run. There are 4 classifications in this category:

  • The largest team: which team brings the most participants to the finish line

  • The most original team outfit: chosen by the event committee during the team run

  • The fastest boss (m/f) of a company

  • The fastest team: the 4 fastest participants of the team are ranked

BEX was able to take a place in one of these rankings. Matthias Kieß, member of the management of our parent company AEB SE in Stuttgart, came second in the “fastest boss” category. All other team members also reached the finish line and were very proud to have completed the distance of 4.58 km under a scorching sun.

It was a great experience with a lot of fun and sweat for the BEX team.

The BEX running team has set itself the goal of taking part in the Aalen city run every year and is hoping for growth 😊. Growth in the sense of more members in the running team and also growth in the form of new colleagues.

A detailed report on the city run can be found in the local daily newspaper “Schwäbische Post”.
