LogiMAT – Cancellation due to risk of infection by Corona virus
One of the largest logistics trade fairs, LogiMAT in Stuttgart, was canceled due to the risk of spreading the coronavirus. This happened due to the urging of the responsible public health department of the Esslingen district. The public order office Leinfelden-Echterdingen ordered the trade fair organizer EUROEXPO to cancel the trade fair on March 4, 2020 at 5:17 pm.
As reason the authority gave the danger by the intensified and accelerated spreading of the Coronavirus in Germany, which affects in particular also the region Stuttgart.
How many visitors were expected for LogiMAT 2020?
In 2019, the International Trade Fair for Intralogistics Solutions and Process Management attracted well over 60,000 visitors. A good 10,000 more visitors than in 2017. Due to the increased interest, an estimated 70,000 visitors were forecast for LogiMAT 2020.
Is there an alternative date?
Unfortunately, there is no alternative date for LogiMAT. The next LogiMAT will take place from 09 – 11 March 2021 in Stuttgart.
